Ensuring Environmental Justice through responses to climate change” CEC Council Dialogue on Climate Change and Environmental Justice and Presentation of CEC Youth Innovation Challenge Winners. This last event included the participation of environmental officials from Canada, Mexico and the United States, who shared their position regarding the concept of Environmental Justice. CEC Council Dialogue The administrator, Michael Regan, expressed that the concept of Environmental Justice is based on the fair treatment of all people with respect to the application and implementation of laws and regulation of environmental policies; and that this justice can be said to have been achieved when all people enjoy the protection measures against environmental dangers and take part in decision-making to have a healthier environment.
He also declared that in Mexico the right to a healthy environment is enshrined , however, there is a historical debt with the most vulnerable communities, and that in that sense, attending to these communities is how Environmental Justice can be achieved. The Canadian representative for International Environmental Affairs and Climate Change, Catherine Stewart, limited her America Cell Phone Number List participation to listening to the other representatives, since Canada is going through federal elections, but declared her full support for these two countries. In the dialogue, the representatives of each country reaffirmed their collaborative work to solve the problems caused by climate change. Likewise, the winners of the 2021 CEC Youth Challenge for Innovation were announced.

This call has been organized since 2017 and aims to promote innovative ideas and solutions from young people to improve both the environment and the economy of the three countries. This year's winners were: Decomp The objective of this Canadian project is to solve, with its patented solution, the problem of plastic waste through degrading microbes, which facilitate the decomposition of this material in a matter of weeks, unlike the natural process that takes several centuries. Guardians of the Calakmul bees This Mexican project won with its proposal for the solution to the problem of beekeeping in the town of Puebla de Morelia, in the state of Campeche, which has suffered from the migration of honey bee populations as a result of the presence of pests.
